December Ultrasound

A friend of ours, Mark Withrow, is an OB doctor. He was willing to do an ultrasound of the girls for Mike's family when they came to visit. What an experience! We were able to see the babies and one of our girls gave us a beautiful profile. It even looks like she is smiling. They are doing well and are still really active. Usually after an ultrasound I feel sore and tired but it is well worth it to see my beautiful girls. We will be having another level 2 ultrasound too. This is where they measure the babies to make sure they are growing equally and healthy. We will keep you informed of how they are doing.

Surprise Baby Shower in Detroit

Yesterday I had planned to spend the afternoon with my sister, Kimi getting our nails done and doing some shopping if needed. She had suggested to me that we get our nails done and go out for lunch. I thought that was a great idea since Panera is one of my favorite places to eat. After we finished with our nails my sister wanted to go show me some ughs she wanted for Christmas and then drop in a few other stores. By this time, I was hungry. We walked over to Panera and when I walked in, I saw a baby shower balloon. Not putting two and two together, I told my sister, "aww for me? Thanks." Then I continued to walk to the counter. When I realized my sister was not following me, I looked at her and she told me to turn around. What a surprise! There were my friends and family! I was so surprised. It was great to see all my friends I grew up with. Thank you all for the gifts and your time. We appreciate all the help we can get.

Weathering the Winter Storm

Last night around 8:20PM we lost our power due to the snow storm that came through. I would say we have about 3-4 inches of snow. It got cold in our house really quick. Instead of staying up and doing nothing, we decided to layer up and go to bed. Before jumping in, I filled a hot water bottle and put in at the bottom of the bed. It helped a lot. About midnight the power came back on and we had to get up and shut off all the lights in the house.

I am very thankful for a warm house and a snugglly family. What a beautiful sight this morning. Everything is white and bright. Happy Sabbath to us!

Preggie New to Blogger

Welcome to our blog.

This is my first official post on blogger. I looked at some friend's blogs and thought that we should create one of our own to keep all of our friends and family up to date on our twin girls. We want everyone to be a part of our experience with these girls and a part of their lives and this may be the only way to do it for some.

I look forward to being able to share with you the experiences I have already had and the ones I am experiencing now. Stay tuned for more to come.
